South Business Innovation Centre (SouthBIC) offers a comprehensive array of services to entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) designed to assist them in achieving their business, growth and success ambitions. As part of this support process we will undertake initial diagnostics to analyse the relevant business models and performance; identify project strengths and weaknesses, understand the general direction and strategies being used. SouthBIC offers intensive business incubation services, both physical (within our facility) and virtual (in your own location) through which we support our clients gain the competitiveness necessary to be successful in the marketplace.


Entrepreneurs: SouthBIC helps Entrepreneurs realise their ideas, identifies the scale and scope of their opportunities and helps build the best business model and plan to exploit it! We will also assist Entrepreneurs raise the finance and support them to implement it. 


Start-ups: SouthBIC’s priority is to assist start-ups by providing high quality tailored support for setting up and running their businesses. Our approach covers the whole life cycle of the business from conception through implementation and growth with a complete range of support services to potential entrepreneurs. The start-up phase is a long process that begins from the desire to start your own business. This usually is followed by the person’s idea or a set of ideas that he wishes to explore. Once the idea has been formed, then serious thinking is needed to fine-tune the idea, test its validity and then if sufficient resources and conviction is present, launch the new business. SouthBIC will be involved with the potential entrepreneur from concept through the early start-up phase to the actual very important launch phase.


Existing MSMEs: Existing MSMEs need support to reach their full potential; these can be related to the enhancement of the internal processes of the enterprise, facilitating access to finance, developing new products, conducting R&D, expanding existing markets and entering new ones, improving customer retention, finding investors and partners, strengthening ICT performance and becoming more competitive as an enterprise in general.





Enterprise Incubation Programme

SouthBIC designed this programme to assist project concepts to become established and profitable during their incubation period. Incubation guarantees the enterprise extensive ongoing business support and access to specific and valuable training events.  SouthBIC performs incubation on two levels, physical and remote.

Physical Incubation: available for both industrial and service oriented enterprises, the enterprise locates its operations within the SouthBIC. Incubated enterprises will benefit from the superior facilities available at SouthBIC in addition to the business development services.


Outreach Incubation (Virtual Incubation): Enterprises do not have to be resident in SouthBIC and do not have a daily presence within the premises, however, those enterprises fit the spirit and mission of SouthBIC in helping businesses grow and innovate. Remotely incubated enterprises receive the same support as of resident incubates.

If you need to move on from operating from your home but do not need or are not ready for the commitment of a dedicated office, the hot desk could be the answer.  Signing up for a hot desk at SouthBIC enables you to make use of our facilities on a casual basis. The primary motivation for hot desking is cost reduction through space saving.

SouthBIC offers a range of industrial property options with flexible leasing agreements. Our industrial space is suitable for a wide range of uses including light to medium industrial units starting from 52 square meters, hybrid and manufacturing units, and large industrial units up to 500 square meters.

BEC (Business Exhibitions Center)

A new service that SouthBIC offers is BEC, which delivers state-of-the-art exhibition and trade promotion facilities and services. BEC is located within walking distance to SouthBIC administrative building, offering participants the chance to showcase their businesses and interact with consumers.

Depending on the theme, BEC offers three main exhibitions space set-ups and distribution. Floors plans can be viewed in the dedicated section of the website  ‘exhibitions center’.
